Countrywide Home Loan

A Countrywide home loan means security, strength - but also strict inflexibility. The very things making a Countrywide home loan great are the things that take away from your mortgage success.

Countrywide Home Loan

People who apply for a Countrywide home loan are usually looking for the same qualities in their home loan:

Countrywide home loans have made a name for themselves as a lender who will loan to anybody. They have a system, providing the same loans to millions of applicants. But sometimes the last thing you want for your mortgage is a system, not to mention the same generic Countrywide home loan that millions of other people have.

The limitations of a Countrywide home loan

While the Countrywide home loan is incredibly strong - and while bad credit and low income applicants usually qualify for these loans after contacting and being denied by dozens of others - that doesn't make it the right fit for you, and it doesn't make the Countrywide home loana healthy financial choice. Most Countrywide clients have a difficult time refinancing their loans with other companies after they've reestablished their credit or when interest rates drop - or climb higher. Others still come into their loans without knowing full well what to expect, and when they begin their repayments they find out too late that their specific interests were probably better served elsewhere. Then there are those specialty markets where Countrywide simply has no ground to stand on. A California home loan specifically designed for the rapidly growing California market will be in your best financial interests, much better than anything Countrywide has to offer.

When you should choose Countrywide

Rather than agreeing to a Countrywide home loan as a first option, think of it as your last result. Include the Countrywide home equity loan in your search for equity financing, but don;t limit yourself to Countrywide. Expand your options, contact other lenders and see what else is out there for you. It may end up that Countrywide can offer the best combination of low rates and affordable fees - but probably not. As a giant its difficult to maneuver quickly in a rapidly changing market, and Countrywide is at times not the bargain you first thought it was .
